To determine the institution's research and development policy, and to associate policy commitments with the objectives, targets, and performance indicators in the Strategic Plan,

To define the institution's processes regarding research and development, as well as to monitor, evaluate, and improve practices,

To monitor and evaluate the institution's research resources, and to plan improvement efforts,

To coordinate activities to be carried out within the scope of research competencies and development, as well as to monitor and improve their effectiveness,

To encourage research collaborations, monitor the performance of units in this regard, and create improvement plans,

To monitor institution-wide research performance,

To evaluate the level of achievement regarding the commitments in the institution's research and development policy document based on research performance,

To monitor the research performance of the academic staff at the institution,

To prepare documentation regarding research and development activities in the institution in cooperation with the Quality Coordination Office and other relevant units,

To prepare the Research and Development sections in the Institutional Internal Evaluation Report (KİDR) in accordance with the most up-to-date KİDR Guide and submit them to the Quality Coordination Office,

To inform units regarding the management of research and development processes.
