The 2025 Internal Evaluation Team held its closing meeting, numbered 2025-02, on January 12, 2026.
A significant step has been taken in the quality assurance and institutional accreditation processes at Bartın University. The Institutional Internal Evaluation Team , established in accordance with the Bartın University Quality Assurance System Directive , which came into force with the decision of the University Senate dated 16.09.2025 and numbered 2025/13 (03) , successfully completed its planned visits and meetings.
In accordance with Article 12(h) of the directive, which includes the provision of "forming an internal institutional evaluation team/teams" among the duties of our Coordination Office; an Internal Institutional Evaluation Team was formed to address the feedback in the 2023 Institutional Accreditation Report and the targets in the 2025 Improvement Plan from an external evaluation perspective, given that our University will be subject to external evaluation within the framework of the THECQ Institutional Accreditation Program in 2026.
In line with the recommendation of the Quality Commission dated 11.12.2025 and numbered 2025/10 (06), the Internal Institutional Evaluation Team, formed by our Coordination Office under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ümmühan Avcı , prepared the Visit Plan covering academic and administrative units at its first meeting dated 19.12.2025 and numbered 2025-01 .
In this context;
- On December 23-24, 2025 , to academic units,
- On December 25, 2025 , visits were made to administrative units.
During the visits, documents serving as evidence within the scope of quality processes were reviewed, meetings were held with the participation of academic and administrative unit managers and staff, and external stakeholder meetings were conducted online. Throughout the process, the units actively contributed to the organization of planned meetings, participant information, and logistical arrangements.
Following the meetings held, the Internal Institutional Evaluation process was completed with the closing meeting on January 12, 2026. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the members of the Internal Institutional Evaluation Team who contributed to the process by the Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Yafes Yıldız .
Bartın University aims to strengthen its quality assurance culture, promote the concept of continuous improvement, and make strong preparations for the 2026 Institutional Accreditation process through these internal evaluation studies.
