Bartın University established an Internal Institutional Evaluation Team to strengthen its quality assurance efforts and effectively prepare for the institutional accreditation process. The work, carried out in accordance with paragraph (h) of article 12 of the Bartın University Quality Assurance System Directive, which came into force with the decision of the University Senate dated 16.09.2025 and numbered 2025/13 (03) , was completed by the Quality Coordination Office.
Given that our university will be evaluated within the scope of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THECQ) Institutional Accreditation Program in 2026, the aim is to review the feedback included in the 2023 Institutional Accreditation Report and the improvements specified in the 2025 Improvement Plan from an external evaluation perspective. This process aims to strengthen the institutional quality culture and support sustainable improvement efforts.
In this context, in line with the recommendation of the Quality Commission dated 11.12.2025 and numbered 2025/10 (06); the Institutional Internal Evaluation Team, consisting of academic and administrative staff and students, was formed by the Quality Coordination Office. The team will evaluate the university's education and training, research and development, social contribution and governance processes with a holistic approach.
The first meeting of the Institutional Internal Evaluation Team , numbered 2025-01 , was held on December 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the Senate Hall of the Rectorate Building. A Visit Plan was created for the planned visits, and the roadmap and working principles for the evaluation process were discussed at the meeting.
