Our university became the first state university to receive the "Safe Campus Certificate in the Context of the Global Epidemic" following the examinations made by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) experts.
Our university has taken and continues to take the necessary measures by acting quickly from the moment the coronavirus (covid-19) threat first emerged. All studies are carried out meticulously in order to ensure the health of internal and external stakeholders at our University, where coordinated studies are carried out with the Ministry of Health, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and public institutions and organizations in the province. At this point, an application was made for the "Safe Campus Certificate in the Context of the Global Epidemic". After the application, examinations were made on the campuses of our University by the expert team from the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE).
The first state university to receive the "Healthy and Safe Campus Certificate"
Important studies were carried out in our university within the scope of the "Guide for the Development of Healthy and Clean Environments in Higher Education Institutions in the Context of the Global Epidemic", which was prepared with the cooperation protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and TSE. The teams led by The Secretary General of our University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Said Ceyhan played an important role in fully meeting all the obligations in the guide. After the examinations, Bartın University became the first state university to receive the "Healthy and Safe Campus Certificate".
“We have come a long way in the new normal”
Expressing that they are doing important work in every field during the epidemic process, our University Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun said, “From the first moment of the pandemic, we have taken serious measures with our academic and administrative human resources, through the teams we have established for protection from the virus threat. On the one hand, we worked for the effective and dynamic execution of scientific activities and education-training processes, on the other hand, we carried out a systematic and sustainable process in hygiene. Accordingly, we were entitled to receive the 'Healthy and Safe Campus Certificate'. We became the first state university to receive this certificate as a result of our efforts with the understanding of 'our common health and our common future'.

Rector Uzun, emphasizing the importance of the work carried out with an effective and sustainable method, said, “We continue the work we have started to increase the health safety of all components of the Bartın University family in the fight against the global epidemic, covid-19. In this context, we are happy that the work we have done and the measures taken after the TS 13811 Hygiene and Sanitation Management System certificate have been registered with a new document. With these thoughts, I would like to express my gratitude to our Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, who led our higher education institutions and supported us to take effective steps, and to our President of YÖK, Prof. Dr. M. A. Yekta Saraç and to our members of YÖK. I would like to thank to TSE President Prof. Dr. Mr. Adem Şahin encouraging us to manage the process with an effective strategy with the sensitivity they have shown, and the TSE team. In addition, I would like to thank to our Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Said Ceyhan for his effective work in the fight against the covid-19 epidemic, and all the members of the Bartın University family.
