Strategic Focus in Quality Management: Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences

Preparations for our University’s May 2026 Institutional Accreditation timeline are being deepened through unit-based “Guidance and Consultancy” visits. Following field studies conducted at the Faculties of Science, Forestry, Education, and Sport Sciences, the next stop of the process was the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS).

In the program held on 08 April 2026, quality was emphasized as a “management model.”

Two Main Sessions with an Analytical Perspective
Under the leadership of Vice Rector Zafer Ceylan, the quality team divided its afternoon agenda into two main sessions with the participation of 37 staff members:

Managerial Alignment and Strategy Sharing (14:00–14:30):
In the meeting held with the faculty administration, the transparency of administrative processes and the alignment of vertical and horizontal communication channels with accreditation standards were evaluated.

Academic Performance and Program-Oriented Consultation (14:30–17:30):
It was emphasized that academic performance and program outcomes should not rely solely on verbal statements but must be documented through periodic activity and performance reports. These reports were noted as becoming the University’s strongest “memory” in the May 2026 accreditation evaluation.

Standards in Education: Course Information Packages and PDCA
The technical focus of the meeting centered on how data on paper translates into real practice. In particular, consensus was reached on the following two key aspects:

• Revision of Course Information Packages: It was emphasized that these packages are not merely formal documents but living instruments that measure student outcomes and must be aligned with market needs. The alignment of learning outcomes with assessment methods (exams, projects, assignments) was highlighted.
• Standardization in Administrative Processes: The compliance of administrative services supporting academic life with process handbooks and the use of guidelines that minimize error rates were clarified.

Strong Institutional Identity, Shared Future
At the end of the activity, an exchange of views was held on the role of staff in the process and the academic prestige that accreditation will bring to the faculty. This highly participatory event at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences once again confirmed the institutional commitment to our University’s 2026 vision.

Guidance activities across the University will continue in other academic units according to the established plan, contributing further to the goal of institutional excellence.
